What do you do with your time now that you are no longer a Witness?

    Time is on my side

Having been one of Jehovah's Witnesses it always seemed that there
was never enough time to do all the things that needed to be done in life.
Now, that my life is not so structured and revolved around preparing for
meetings, study and service my focus is on finishing my college degree.

What about you and your time?

Now that your life is not so absorbed in Watchtower ideologies what
have you been currently doing to fill that "void." Have you gone or are
going to college? Have you missed the structured life style so much
that you found "religion"? What do former Jehovah's Witnesses now
do with so much time on their hands?

Please share your thoughts with the board because it would present
    an interesting topic of discussion.

    Respectfully,

    The Wanderer

I'm very involved with my Church, more so than I ever was with the Witnesses. I do a lot of reading, writing, researching and travelling.

Um...school, work, kids, partner, cleaning, sleeping...I can't imagine throwing in some meetings and regular field service. I would lose my mind.

I am currently writing a book about my life, (not about JW's), also write poetry, love to read the bible, have an ex-Jw ministry work, run a book club in my home, spend lots of time with family and friends, and just really use my time to enjoy life. Lilly

I have lived my life with freedom the last 14 years. I appreciate my freedom everyday. I work hard, take care of my children, and really, I live my life through them somewhat, they get to do the things I never got to do, I enjoy so much. To see their little smiles, they do not have to walk on their toes, feel stressed. I am so happy they do not have to feel the way I did. So, my extra free time is my family.

I just get on with my life now, free of all the commitments to attend the dreary meetings, assemblies, ministry ect. I live with my boyfriend, and share in the upkeep of our home, help look after our dog, and spend a certain amount of time in anti - jw activities.
