I'd open a small (two screens at the most), independent/art film theater/lounge in my neighborhood. There's an abandoned Art Deco building down the street that would be perfect for it. Concessions would be reasonably priced and you'd be able to take your drinks from the lounge to the theater.
And children under the age of 10 or so would not be allowed into any R-rated movie, whether they're with their parents or not. I like my movies with sex, violence and rock 'n' roll and I hate it when they're ruined by idiot parents who bring their babies and toddlers to "Sin City" and the like.
OR, I'd open a vegetarian drive-thru restaurant.

I love doing the laundry so I would like to run a launderette but I would get really narked if I saw someone putting darks in with lights or a load of mixed fabrics. I would have to service wash everything or ban them from using my machines. I would also like to run a small bookshop. I imagine it would be very peaceful and I could just read all day.

Probably something in video or multimedia production, which is related to my line of work and something I have an aptitude for. Initial capital investment would be high due to the cost of the technology but there would be minimal overhead and the going rates for various types of production work are high as well. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and prefer to work alone at my own pace, which is typically rather quick. I could work from home and write off much there, which would be awesome, methinks.

Small businesses are a thing of the past in the USA. All of the small stores have been taken over by Home Depot, Wall Mart, Sam Ash music, Guitar Centers. Office Depot. Block buster.

I would start my own mutual fund...and all those that invested in it would reap the rewards with me. It only takes about a hundred million to start one, so....start saving yer pennies lads.

It is great to see people wanting to help animals!
We have started an animal rescue but don't have enough capital to do the mountains of paperwork to file for non profit status. We are not giving up! Last week we rescued a parrot of all creatures! We have a waiting list for horses to come.
