As a jw i was always taught "you must go on the ministry" ( taught as a "command" of Jesus to be applied to everyone - or you wouldnt be doing Gods will and therefore He could not be pleased with you ) and many other things, "do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together etc" as an example you must get to the meetings or you are inactive in Gods eyes.

However after reading Jesus words basically saying accept Jesus as Gods son and love your neighbour, i began wondering more and more whether the ministry is a necessity for many people. I Personally never minded the ministry except when i found i was spreading mans deception and lies.

1 John 3:23 states "Now this is his command; That we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as he commanded us.24 the one who keeps His commands remains in him. And He in him.And the way we know that He remains in us is from the spirit He has given us.

These small scriptures seem to completely destroy the Jw's theory of what good works are, and what is needed to remain in Christ Jesus.

IMO, When 1914 failed to bring Armageddon, the Evil Slave class appeared and has since continualy beaten the congregation by removing the freedom given to us in true Christianity and has turned us back to the slavery of OT law....and oppressive human traditions. Matthew 15: 2 ~ 9

It depends if you follow Christ or Paul. Christ removed ALL of the old mosaic laws and gave his followers two new laws. Paul then added a bunch more later.

Very well said that's just what Rutherford did. Jesus said that the Paraclete was going to guide the disciples in all the truth yet he claimed that He had ceased to operate among mankind. Then the FDS has margins to act as a guide with the intention to misguide.

Guides are only of a secondary accessory function.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Following this command makes all others irrelevant.

The best "ministry" is to live it and experiment living it to the best of your ability..and SHOW others the results. Let them see if it is good or bad..and decide to follow or if bad run.

Words are easily manipulated...show me results without hiding the bad.

Do you listen to a divorced marriage councellor? Just because they have a degree in bullshit?

Find out results..to gauge their success..or discover their failure before you fall into the same trap.

Just the command that we shouldn't follow any commands, let people ask nicely no need to shout commands. What with all these religions giving commands?? enough already!!!

Why anyone want to let a book writen 2000 yrs ago command them to do anything? Just because there are some claims of being inspired? I say think for yourself and stop letting some ancient book about a mythical god who gives out commands you must follow, control your life. Come on think about it use your mind it is just a beleif with no fact.
