I think the jw oracle recieved his insights through a malfuncutioning tv.

Hey guys! I fixed my first TV.
The retrace lines was the SCRN pot, which I think you techies call G2. The screen is now as black as the day I bought it.
The fading guns was that the card on the back of the CRT was slightly loose and needed re-seating.
Now the other TV I'm not going to open until the guy from ebay gets back to me.
Fixing stuff is good I think!
