Possibly, other life exists but not on our planets, obviously. Since we cannot define the end of the universe at this point, there may be another earth or something similar out there some where with another test run of humans or what ever.....
Possibly, a different life form with different parameters. If this is so, it may be that we are not able to contact them or they us.
It may be a test to see who does better with their world.

I think there's a very good chance that life exists on other planets, especially if we're only considering unicellar organisms and very simple ecosystems. Maybe even sentient and technologically advanced life.
I seriously doubt that Earth is being buzzed by ETs in their saucers (or triangles). I agree with many of the hurdles listed off by skeptic2. They decrease the likelihood of alien visitors. The Roswell non-incident proves nothing and those videos from Mexico are questionable.
As for the separate question on "god": I'll say that a "creator god" definitely exists. Only its not the personal god of the bible, or quran. Its "God - the process" - all the unfolding interactions and chains of events by which things have come into being. With biological evolution being one aspect of this metaphorical god.
As to the kind of loving personal God many Christians believe Jesus talked about (or even was), I'd love unquestionable confirmation. I'm moved irrationally to hope that such a God is around. But I look at so many incongruities that speak more for the absence of such a God, and have to conclude that I just don't know.
There is a huge difference between the existence of life outside of our solar system and the existence of God. There is something called the Drake equation which calculates a ballpark estimate of the existence of extraterestrial life. The current known parameters which factor into the Drake equation show that life somewhere other than Earth is pretty likely. The phenomena which are usually reported as UFOs and alien encounters are easily explained by numerous KNOWN meteorological and psychological events. The current credible, reproduceible evidence to support the existence of aliens that have actually visited earth or a God essentially nill. Of course there's no evidence that leads us to believe that these things are totally impossible, but just as I would not demand evidence to show that there is absolutely not an invisible, green, cold-fire-breathing dragon living in Carl Sagan's garage, I would not demand evidence to show that there is no God when there is clearly no evidence to show there is.
Yaknow, this whole challenge thing is just a big bluff, cuz we all know that god isn't going to show. Lots of popcorn will be eaten, lots of words will be said. But, not one word from god.

Here are my deep thoughts about God and why he has not had a word to say since biblical times. He finished what he set out to do when he brought his son forth into the earth and Jesus gave his human life as a ransom for us sinful humans so we may have life forever which Adam and Eve stole from us.
I don't know why he is waiting so long to return the dead to life (2000 years) because God has not been this silent in all of human history. Who was the last one to hear God's voice in Biblical history?
