Jeff, are they having a committee meeting for you? What buffoons. Bummer. But now you can really fly high and free.

Full of doubt now, cool thing is I get to know people from England and so many places. When I ever come for a visit, I can see people all over the country. Thank you.

Lonely Sheep, too bad I didn't get to come by and see you on my way home from Connecticut last December. Maybe in the future. Thank you.

Jourles, you're closer to the Detroit side aren't you? I looked at this site in 2001, just never did join. At first I joined a women only exjw support group. That was less intimidating. I wasn't used to "brothers" saying some of the types of things I saw on JWD. I had to get used to the idea. Maybe the next time there is a meet up, my life will be more peaceful and I'll be able to participate. I hope so. It would be an honor to meet you.

Thank you, SeaWolf. When you are you going to put your real self up as your avatar?

How many of you began your web-quest on the original H2O board? Two days ago marked 9 years since I discovered that site. I don't post often anymore, but I still feel the need to check out what's going on here at least a couple of times a week. Any more 'ole timers still posting or lurking around?

Good to see you post, Chappy.

I'm not sure I ever ran across the H2O board. In 1999 I first came across a site that told Ray Franz's and others' stories, that were dealt with treacherously. I was looking for the official WatchTower site. Of course my results page came up with some exjw sites. I had always known that I would not be able to resist reading what "apostates" had to say, should I come across any writings.

I came across others in 2001 such as Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses and the site with Eye on it. I came across the Bethelite guest book and wrote a couple of exjw's from that. One was an elder who was waking up. I recall funny sites like the one that had all the fake mag covers with problems such as End World Hunger: Kill 99.9% of the world's population. Or End Child Abuse: Kill 99.9% of Earth's population. Anyone remember those? And then the same guy wrote one of the funniest things I can remember in exjw humor: "The Lord doth weepeth when thou strokest thine member." There were a lot of sites I looked at.

Later I found Women Awake and joined up there. I think I tried to join JWD a couple of times, once in 2001, but couldn't get the profile feature to work. Women Awake ended up getting sabotaged and most people quit posting. That's when I came here.

Congratulations FHN! I agree with you that being on here and sharing in the commenting helps in real life. The lessons learned spill over and you find yourself using the skills developed here when dealing with people in the world. I think JWD makes you a stronger person. Continue posting as you can FHN. I have enjoyed your recent postings this year very much. Anewme

Thank you, ANewMe. I haven't posted near as much lately due to a lot of stress. And hey, I've even lost thirty pounds because of all this stress. I can hardly remember what I've posted about these past few months. Things may be starting to get better. I see glimmers of light.

Good for you FHN. I found this board somewhere close to your entry. For me you have always been here.

Always liked your posts. Stick around and keep us grouches in line, ok?

    Hey FHN,

You are such a sharp cookie and you express yourself very well, and I have always appreciated your posts (even when I disagreed with you). Like you, I have learned a lot from this sight about how to listen more and the art of disagreeing gracefully. You seem like an old friend to me (though I know that many others here know you much, much better than I do)--comfortable to be with, and very honest.

Hope that you'll be here another 3 years, and that very soon the glimmer of hope you see now will be as a sunny day.

    My friend...the High Flyin' Heather,

This board would be so much poorer if you hadn't found it. And I would be poorer, too, if you hadn't been here when I showed up about 6 months later, scared and lost. You have a quiet kindness and confidence about you that makes people feel welcome. And sometimes... some choice to-the-point words to folks who get a little too full of themselves. I won't mention names.

Anyway, more than once you've helped me get out of some JW caused funk. Knowing what terrible things you've gone thru/going thru personally, because of health and JW crap...and still being able to maintain your humor, kindness and real concern for others is -- inspiring. I've met a boat load of great Ex-JW's and I have a small handful of "I gotta meet" people left -- you are in that small group.

I hope I didn't embarrass you. I just appreciate you a lot. Thank you for being...

    Your friendly Rabbit

What a milestone... I bet you have no idea how much you've helped people in that time. By your kind words, your strength of character, not being afraid to speak up. Your a credit to this board and one of the reasons why I like coming here.

Sorry to hear you've been stressed - I wish you every happiness and that you get through this.
