whats the deal with long hair

    Perhaps Greendawn or someone else can help with these seemingly two contradictory verses regarding how long hair is viewed in the bible.

    Now, I know the JW stance is likely that long hair, nowdays, is seen to be symbolic of a rebellious nature. I can rather accept that. When I grew my hair halfway down my back, I sure as hell was rebelling against my JW upbringing. It felt very freeing. Besides, women loved it!

    But, if the bible is supposed to be one flowing, united piece of work, how do those not contradict? Now, I can see that Jesus was speaking about a specific scenario, of a "a vow of separation to the LORD as a Nazirite". But... in relation to the other scripture, wouldn't that mean that he is saying to become disgraceful, or sin, for the LORD?
