It is kind of rude to ask someone why they left. Religion is a personal matter, what business is it of theirs?
If a Witness speaks about your exit to you, does this happen to you too?

JWs are trained to ask rude questions; can you imagine coming up to a complete stranger's house, at a time convenient to you but not that person, knocking on their door around 9:30 Saturday morning, to ask a personal question about their beliefs?

I work with a jw, but she never asks me any questions about why I left. She just contents herself with gossiping behind my back, telling people how immoral I've become now I've left the org, as she knows I live with my boyfriend. If she ever did ask those sort of questions, I would probably refuse to discuss it, I feel no need to justify my actions to her.

That Witness who is telling people you work with, that your are immoral for living with your boyfriend, might want to use caution. As a lot of people, outside the religion, life with the ones they love, and are not married. She might find herself looking down the barrel of hatred and resentment, if she is so vocal in her judgement of you.

"I always like to ask them back, "Are you asking those of me to learn, to condemn me or because you hope I found an answer to those questions that makes more sense then the one you hold too?"" I love that response...hope I can remember it if the need ever occurs. I almost came clean last weekend when 2 JW's came to my door. I chickened out, told them that I attended a different congregation. They encouraged me to check theirs out since it was in the territory. After they left I could have kicked myself for not telling them that we are no longer JW's but I have a son that still attends meetings and didn't want to make trouble for him.
