AWWW my sweet friends :) Thanks for the welcome!!

the short story is -i was born and raised JW (Kansas City ex JWs you out there??)- rebelled at 15. Most eye opening experiance was when i was 13 (!love that!) my older brother was disfellowshipped and i experianced first hand the hypocrisy and judgemental *&%$ side - i was shunned b/c of my brother - who, at the time, i was angry with. ( YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU, in this life and the next bro!!!) but quickly realized the reality and left MAD- never was baptised.

This religion propelled me faster than anything could have onto my OWN spiritual journey at such a young age. To find my OWN Truth- and for that i am ultimately thankfull, humbled, and realized. Right now i mostly feel angry at the identity theft of the Avatar of this passing Age, Jesus. I will never be a christian- i will never limit myself with any religion (why would i need them) for i feel i have learned his true message- the same message of all the great teachers thru the Ages- Compassion.

My daughter could relate to your story Bodhi. Her brother was DFed as a disapproved associate back in the '80s which practice they did away with because they were being sued by people that were being DFed but not baptized.

Anyway, my kids were all ignored because of their brother. That was extremely hurtful. None of my 4 adult kids are religious now.

GoodGirl - Sorry I can't go w/you to the Hemp Fest, but I am watching my granddaughter this weekend and then we are having a family get together. Perhaps if Bodhi is here in Wisconsin she might want to go with you?

Hey Juni, it's OK, I'm probably not going to go unless others are interested. Mike can't make it out here this weekend, but he's still coming! Or so he says.

I wish Bodhi was in WI, but she's not... Oh well, Bodhi you can come visit anytime!

And Juni, I hope we can get together another time! I'm not so sure what this Hemp Fest is all about anyway; seems like trouble to me... Hope you have fun at your get together.
