That was awesome, Purps! Did you write that?
Nice stuff, I mean it. I'm keeping that.

Sorry, In my entire JW growing up years and afterwards, I never felt a relationship with god. I never felt good enough for him to even think about me. I was too busy pleasing parents, elders and the society, how in the hell could I possibly please god? He was way beyond reach, the humans weren't happy there was no way I could make him happy.
So thats the way it has been my entire life. Seems he was never there. I'm 47 now.....a little late in the game to suddenly make a personal appearance, dont you think? I appreciate god in my own way, but like I said I don't pray but I think he knows I appreciate what I have been given.
r.
GOD will be there for you IF you really want him. Most people never humble themselves so there is a problem to start with.
I believed that I could only pray to Jehovah for things that Jehovah wanted (not what I wanted) and that Jehovah was going to do anyways. Like others have said here, felt no relationship with God unless I was doing for God. I guess I learned that conditional love thing from God and not my parents afterall.
All I know is that the God of the Bible is an outdated Myth according to the findings of science. When I first felt this mythical gods deminish it's hold on my mental facualties was when reading posts by Leolaia and others who were well up on thier studies of the bible as well as other related "holy books". I don't think I have gotten rid of every vestage of concept about a god of some sort, I'm more inclinded to think we are all "god" or what ever you want to call it, I hardly think of the cranky old jehovah god anymore except in the funniest contradictions.
