I was an avid follower of Geral Durrell and wanted to follow in his footsteps.
That is a long time that you missed out on playing with monkeys. Didn't the Young People Ask book have a chapter about that?
Fortunately not much since I was an active JW only for a short time about one year most of which I was pioneering so that was the waste I had. Then I basically gave up on the JWs though I didn't DA for another seven years. I also had to spend time clearing up who they really were their real history, policies, and the soundness of their ideology.
We didn't have a "Young People Ask book", Arthur.
Young people were told.
My sanity.
I gave up during my teen years the ambition of pursuing a career and finding out who I really was and instead pushing all that behind in my head and filling my head with indoctrination of preparing for a "new system" that will never come and now doing the best I can with what I have. Something I think about daily.
sex life
My youth, and then most of my thirties. Thank goodness I was inactive for eleven years and did some traveling when I was in my twenties.
