When the dubs say: "history shows that we are the only true religion, look only we preach the gospel to all the nations we do much more than all other Christian religions put together." what do we say to them, it appears like an impressive record yet we somehow know it is false. I note they no longer believe the end is necessarily near so what does all this preaching achieve? Before it was preaching just before the end to separate sheep and goat for armageddon.
Dubs: we alone preach seriously we alone are the true religion.

Do what? How many starving people does the WTBS feed? How many hospitals do they run in third world countries? How many schools?
Sending
slavesmissionaries all over the world to peddle books and magazines isn't "doing" anything. It isn't even preaching the gospel.That's what I'd say.

What's the use of preaching when they don't follow the scriptures.
How many JW's are poor and need help. How many JW's are sick in hospitals and abandoned because they aren't productive anymore.
The Watchower is a business, not a loving religion.

Indeed some charity work would be worth millions of hours of door knocking. Preaching even on a wide global scale does not necessarily make them the true religion. It is rather a commercial activity to sell the products of the WTS.

Apparently the "act" of preaching is more important to the Witness members than the accuracy of what is preached. They hold a door to door record for preaching error. So what?
If number of people reached is important, I'd say the television preachers have the Witnesses beat hands down. And if prolific long term preaching is important, I'd say the Catholic people have the Witnesses beat without question.
The only thing the Witnesses actually have are claims made about themselves. The Witnesses could ask: "Who else thinks we are great?" :-) -

I'd be tempted to say that self - praise is no recommendation, because nobody praises the jws like they do themselves. I might also ask them which doctrine theyr'e using this week, as it seems to change that often it's hard to keep up.
Thet may reach a lot of people with their message, but what's the good of a watchtower if you and your family are starving? They don't look after their own people when they've sucked all the usefulness out of them, as we have seen from the recent Bethel lay - offs. They do nothing at all to address the real problems facing the world.
The kingdom is the answer - not when you're starving or dying of AIDS or some other disease it isn't.

Just ask the common person on the street about JW's and they will probably say the JW's don't believe in Jesus and don't celebrate Christmas. It just goes to show how effective their preaching work really is.
