Sunday talk is the worst.
At least at other meetings you can put up your hand and say something stupid to alleviate the boredom.

Greetings 5thGeneration ,
I agree 100%.They are torture. I'd rather be locked out of my house in the dead of winter, wearing only boxers than sit and have to listen to that slow motion bull.
Your avatar says it all. Was it taken before, during or after a meeting?

How about assemblies/conventions? Everybody knows they are long and boring,
they are all just afraid to say it.
Even my totally borg mother says, "They are sooooo looong." Why can't more
people be that honest?
Murmerers!!! How dare you.
Going to the meetings is torture... More so when you know everything coming off that platform is CRAP.
Almost everybody finds the meetings boring, but sometimes it can take work to get them to admit it.
The Public Talk can be the best if you get an interesting speaker, but it can also be the worst if you get someone who is dull.
I used to like them.

OooooH! You must be hanging out with the wrong people, haha!
Everyone I knew ALWAYS gushed on "wasn't THAT the greatest assembly EVER????"
I used to get up at 5 AM to get all the kids up, fed and dressed and myself fed, showered, and dressed (with everyone's books , bibles, songbooks and WTs packed) to hit the road for 8 AM at the latest....
to be in Syracuse for the conventions.....and by 1 PM I was ready for a nap! I had the hardest time staying awake and trying to keep my eye on my kids all day, for however many days we were EXPECTED to be there. Being SO BORED did not help one bit!
I used to like them.
That lasted maybe a year after baptism. I don't remember when I last didn't complain about the boredom in private circles. Many of those that I know complained as well are still going.

That's why we clapped when they were over!
