The Good Feelings Toward the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society

Admittedly, when registering for this discussion board
my feelings toward the Watchtower Society were mixed.

On the one hand, I was grateful that there were opport-
unities to learn such things as public speaking, giving
comments, becoming a more studious individual and
the racial harmony that I personally experienced.

On the other hand my disappointment came when the
United Nations scandal presented itself and there was
no denying that such a scandal came to pass.

The good feelings have come to pass

The other day on this discussion board a topic of dis-
cussion was presented in which individuals had given
there personal accounts of knowing someone who had
committed suicide or attempted suicide themselves.

The discussion shook me and left me feeling uneasy
that such horrible events had taken place; and the
organization responsible for it was the Watchtower
    Bible and Tract Society.

After last night's discussion, I do not believe that
I can give the Watchtower credit for anything any-
    more.

Last night's discussion was the most devastating
topic of discussion and my good feelings have
come to pass concerning this organization.

If you would like to post a personal comment
on this discussion board please do so.

    Respectfully,

    The Wanderer

Hi Wanderer, yeah, the Watchtower is a shit cult and the sooner its gone the better.

I can't think of anything worthwhile about a group of people wasting their lives knocking on doors, coercing members to deny a life saving blood transfusion on threat of disfellowshipping, and shunning their own family and life-long friends for a pile of bullshit.

It's just another business. This one happens to make its money by selling religion in other words they made a business out of the word of God. The Malawi (versus Mexico) issue is much worse than the UN issue because it caused the death and torture of many dubs in a totally needless way, it was making martyrs to improve the image of the WTS as the true religion. It doesn't take long after an objective study to realise that they are systematically lying and being insincere in their approach to the R&F.

Wanderer...Yes I understand completly how your feeling now.But remember it really isnt the r/f JW that is teaching this wickedness it is the OLD men at Brooklyn. They are leading the "sheep" into the pit. We have to hate the sin but love the Sinner. No I dont mean the old men at the top... Because I am beginning to believe they must KNOW what they are doing. I didnt always believe that ,I used to think they too were mislead. but after speaking privately with a man that used to take all the letters that came into the Headquarters- they MUST now know they are resposible for the deaths of HUNDREDS!!! by suicides, & despondances... So my advice to you as the GRANNY on board. look after yourself continue to pray to the Creator of the Heaven & earth.. (((HUGS)) Sorry it is a long post (((HUGS))

My feelings towards the wts are that they are a controlloing, manipulative cult who will stop at nothing to protect their precious organisation and preserve the comfortable, revered lifestyle of their leaders. I hope I live to see the day when they are gone completely.

What is that nonsense quote that they use with Hitler?

At least the trains ran on time under his government.

Well, as for the Watchtower Bible $ Tract Society,

At least we watched less television.

Beyond that, all good was destroyed by the overwhelming bad.

Wanderer I can't begin to know what it must feel like to have this realization in the way many do today. It must come as a shock. For me it was a very slow process that took several years of deep Biblical research. The study of Greek and some Hebrew. Researching the original texts and thier history.

This happened to me in the 1980's before we had a computer, before there were very many books written about JW's in mainstream places like the Library etc.

Even then it took a miracle to free my mind even after all that research.

It gets better from this point on. Freedom is not an evil thing. Independant thinking isn't either. You don't have to abandon your belief in God, only your trust in man.

That's kind of morbid. Get a postive spin on it. How about:

The WBTS has created more ex-JW's than any organization on earth.
