Narkissos....I was reminded of this example after reading Larry Hurtado who treats it as a direct petition and compares it, in fact, with the Stephen example from Acts.
The answered prayer

Its seems reasonable to pray to Jesus or to ask from Jesus as part of our prayers, as he has by his own words been given "all authority in heaven and on earth" in this respect, would the Father mind one asking his faithful Son whom he saw fit to exalt to such a position for help. Isnt showing faith in Jesus also showing faith in the Father and the Holy Ghost.
God bless you all
Many thanks for your useful comments.

Prayer is like being a friend of your thoughts. You mumble or say prayers in hopes that someone or something out there somewhere is listening to you, then one day you wake up and realize that the person or thing listening is just you. No one responds to your prayers, no one talks back to you,
How do you correspond with someone/something that doesnt communicate back to you. This nonsense that well god has the elders, or another witness, or you read something in some watchtower or awake that answers you question(s) as being you answer is just balogna.
How would you like it if talking confidentially to one of you friends and they don't respond back to you in anyway, you wouldn't be calling that person a friend for very long, We need feedback, being ignored isn't a sign of a friend.
Greatly said..........I agree.

God communicates with me everyday in many ways.
It is an affair of the heart that becomes manifest in the physical in many ways.

Most of my prayers have been answered the key is to pray in harmony with gods will. Jehovah answers prayers according to his will (1John 5:14-15).

My prayers are answered. He has given me miracles.
Kate,
God has answered many of my prayers too..... over many years. I've been visited by the Holy Spirit at least three or four times very noticably. The first time, I was convicted of my sin. That is what prompted my entry into the JW's. I had previously resisted since age 7. After a few years active I knew that the religion was worthless as far as any real transformation out of sin and into real righteousness. I spent a long time in the wildernes and then the Spirit visited again after a 15 year gap. He has confimed many things in my spirit critical to a successful walk with God. The most dramatice was a week long baptism of the Holy Spirit about one year ago.
So far, from my experience I can tell a definite correlation between my obedience and my prayers being answered. I have never been a particularly obedient person to anyone by nature. I've learned it strictly from my sufferings.
To anyone that wants a prayer answered, try obedience to God in a couple of areas and see if that helps. Just my .02

Perry isn't communing with our Maker the sweetest gift! Obediance is vital, to Him not to any religion. His presence is enough yet He gives so much more then even Himself.
Answered prayer is a regular occurance my life. We seek His perfect will, ask for Him to light our path and He does.
There was one time that He did not answer the cries of my heart, and that was to change my ex husbands ways. He was mean and abusive and I did not want a divorce but wanted him to change.
I now understand that all things really do work together for good because after many years alone I have been blessed with the kindest most loving attentive man I never even imagined existed.
God will never force anyone to seek Him, thus He did not force my ex husband to change.
