I did a study on the whole disfellowshiped verses remaining and family sprawl, and have concluded that most of the world doesn't like Jehovah's Witnesses. After doing the study, I suddenly realized I didn't need to do a study to realize this. Most people don't like anyone coming to the door unannounced. Perhaps the only solution will be more fearful homeowners with ammunition, and nerves that have gone three days without a stiff drink.
As time goes by, will there be "less" disfellowshipping?

I personally know of one congregation in the southeast where every single child of every elder has initiated contact with known apostates for the purpose of making clear they KNOW it is not the truth and are simply biding their time to keep their families in their lives.
I think that DA will replace the DF as the most prominent "official" means of exit, you notice we never get numbers of those that DA, only occasionally on the DFs.

So far the Society has gotten tighter and tighter.
Even though this is true, the JWD has spoken. It seems that the answer is YES.
As time goes by, will my leaky bucket stop leaking if I don't put anymore water in it? YES.But the question still makes us wonder. If the Society keeps getting tighter and firmer, more
people leaving, what will they do when numbers are way down?I speculate that they will try to be more lenient, allowing people to do what they want, saving
DF for actual unrepentent adulterers and seriously opposed apostates and the like.Certain actions will be frowned on by some, but not officially against any rules.
By then, the WTS will be unable to sustain itself with small attendances and old faithfuls,
new people won't see a reason to "Religion Shop" there. -

I wonder if the congregation is getting more and more refined as people are df'd?
They've been sifting the dross from the gold. We are the gold.

I do know that they are appointing men as elders and MS that they would never have considered before.

Yes Blondie, and they are telling them that they must stay as elders. They now forgive them for viewing pornography, as long as it was a long time since doing it, and they kept it a secret. That was on my resignation letter. The same thing that would cause loss of privileges from a JC for other publisher, elders get to sweep it under the rug. I said this encourages them to keep silent about such "sin" (not truly a sin, but they say so) until a few years pass, instead of seeking help and stepping aside.
