The slightly gruff voice on the end of the 'phone told me the operation went well, although his neck is a little swollen and sore. He's at home and should be completely recovered in two weeks!
WATCH OUT WATCHTOWER
NORM IS BACK AND READY TO KICK YOUR ASS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately it was a small operation and not a very risky one I suppose, and it has gone well, wishing Norm a speedy recovery.

Norm ran the risk of being paralysed in the face - so I'm immensely relieved. It means his jaw is able to give more evidence against the Tower in Norway!
For those of you who don't know, Norm is instrumental in getting untold numbers out of Watchtower, has appeared in court cases to help those injured by the organisation and is in demand by the media. His essays can be found on the internet. The Norwegian branch fear this big but ever so gentle guy! I'm immensely proud to have him as a much loved friend.

Thank you Ian for the update about Norm.
I'm happy all went good Norm; take good care of yourself!

Wow! Thanks to you all for showing such concern.
I had a suspicious tumor removed from immediately under my left ear.
Discovered it in July and didn't think much of it but went to the doctor to get an opinion. He sent me to ultrasound and the
doctor that did that sent me to get a MR. Next thing I knew I was called in to be examined by a specialist and he immediately
decided to remove it. Said if it wasn't malignant it would become so if left alone. So on last thursday I had surgery, lasted 6 hours according to the doctor. Incision from the front of my left ear down my neck and curves toward the throath. Removed two spit glands and the lymph nodes. According to the doctor the procedure takes a long time because there is a lot of nerves situated in that area, among them the facial nerve and a nerve going to the shoulder, also the nerves for the ear. The ear nerve had to be sacrificed because of its location in the middle of the tumor
So now I look (more then usual) like something out of a Frankenstein movie, stitching and all. A bit swollen and such and has to eat painkillers because it is really painful to chew but in a couple of weeks I should be better. The tissue taken away is sent to a lab so I will get the results about the nature of the cells in the tumor in the beginning of next month.
Take care yall,
Norm
Good morning Norm,
That sounds like quite a delicate surgery. Anything around the ear is painful. It's good that you had it taken care of and I hope you have a fast recovery.
Peace be with you,
Juni
Norm:Glad you hear that you're successfully this side of the trauma. Here's to hoping it was entirely benign
((((((((((NORM)))))))))),
How absolutely fantastic that you have been able to post. That's a good sign!
Judging by the e-mail links you sent me I'd say you were fast recovering. I can just see that mischievous glint in your eye coming back.
Get well quickly. We need your input here!
Love,
Ian& Claire
Well, I finally found this thread again!
