I really thought that through the series that Michael was the best. I think he just freaked out for the last show. I can't stand Jeffrey, and don't think he should have won.

Leslie, Michael definitely "choked" in the end. Most of his stuff looked cheap. Although, I did like the swimsuits and the long dress; but for the most part it was bad. I don't know if he didn't care if he won because he is "said" to have a contract with Baby Phat. If that's true he wouldn't need a studio, and could make more than a $100,000.00 in a year and buy his own roadster.

Uli threw down, I mean even her music was on point!

    I agree.

Uli should have won. Her stuff was fantastic.

Michael had been my favorite though too. But Uli was better on the runway.

I knew they were going to pick Jeffrey because he is sooo 'out there'. But the majority of his stuff I would never wear.

Well I guess you are right. If Michael already has a contract he will make lots more money then 100 grand. I think you are correct that Uli was the clear winner. I liked Laura's, but I think sometimes they kinda look old. I have to say that Laura is the best seamstress. Her work is high quality.

Does anyone else remember when Jeffery was asked for his reciepts and he went rustling through his stuff and taking certain things out of his pile of paperwork? I think (my opinion) that he froze, didn't (momentarily) remember if the 'pleating' receipt should be there and removed it(and maybe more??). I think Laura is smart-she was there for the entire competition before they went their own ways. They ALL knew what he was capable of. I think he covered his butt good enough for the judges, but someone said he was a shoe in from the get go and I think they may be right. America loves a good comeback/success story. Ex drug addict, suicide attempt, mohawk girlfriend, tattoos all over makes for a good story. How many of us watch Extreme home makeover just to cry once a week and feel grateful for what we have? That is the mentality driving this.

That green stripey thing was godawful.

I think that's why Uli should of one. Remember she lived in East Berlin or the communist part of the county. She came to America for a better life. She loved the feeling of freedom that Miami afforded her. She based her clothing on Miami, which she always brought out. Plus, she was cute! I just loved her personality.

You're right about Extreme Makeover (the one about rebuilding homes). Last week when they rebuilt the home for the woman who had her back broken while covering her children in a tornado, almost had me in tears. She was wheelchair bound and had a small space to live in. When they rebuilt the home for her family, I got goose bumps! That show got me!

Poor Uli WAS cute and blond and had no adorable child, no survivor history. . .this guys breakdown was just a couple years ago. The wall fell 20 or more years ago. Miami is happy, Jeffery is kind of sad. I think Uli is already a success story and a triumph. She will be more so now I hope! I hope good things for Jeffery, he has overcome a lot-I just didn't like his clothes much!

Jeffrey all ready had a studio. Remember he had his stuff done and didn't have anything to fix. He magically managed to come up with a pair of leather pants after the shorts were questioned. He may have overcome a drug addiction, but hasn't overcome all of his bad habits. I think he is the only one that wanted to use a hardship story. No one else were going to tell if they had been suicidal or severely depressed, to use that to win.

In perspective, its only a tv show! And if I could afford Uli or Laura, I would patronize them. I don't have to support anything I don't like. Sigh, I gotta not let that stupid stuff get to me. I do think the girls got robbed! But my righteous indignation makes no difference to anyone. Never has, never will.

Your indignation does matter. If all the people that were upset about the show's finale did stop watching it, the lost of viewers would probably be the end of the show. But do we really want that to happen, it is a way for unknown designers to become known. I know that I don't want to watch the next season because I feel that the show is fixed. Whether I do or not remains to be seen.
