Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts.
My mum was comfortable when I left the hospital last night, and though she won't be out of hospital for a while, and will probably need quite a bit of help when she does go home, she is on the way to recovery. I'll be going down there to see her later, I'm having a much - needed rest today, so either me or Trev will keep you updated.

Thanks everyone for all your good wishes for my mum, and for me.
I have been to see her today, and she is doing ok but will be in hospital for at least another week, then she will need regular care when she comes home. My brother and I are sorting that out, and I will be working part time for the foreseeable future from Monday, and my bro's wife will help out as well, and we will have support from the local social services, so we should be able to cope.
