I totally agree with you fullofdoubtnow. I personally, am convinced that the pedophile database will neversee the light of day. I believe that the WTC will destroy this database before they would ever disclose the names it contains. They will consider this another example of "obeying Jehovah rather than men".

I do believe that there are brothers who would go to prison rather than make the database available. I believe that they would view it as "being persecuted for righteousness sake". My gut level intuition tells me that the society will not comply with this injuction.

Remember what Bill Bowen (Silent Lambs) once said about the WTS. He stated that the WTS does not know the difference between persecution; and prosecution. In their minds; all prosecution is persecution.

If enough evidence can be gathered to convict a certain G.B. member of rape before he dies might deal a hard blow to the WT.

Even that might not be enough. The G.B. Greenlees homosexual scandal did not damage the WT at all.

If any more Ray Franz like memos from other high up WT officials expressing their doubt or disbelief in JW doctrine would be a good find.

This is a fascinating question, but I doubt whether anything discovered about the bOrg can put of the regular die hard dub who sees it all as just lies and persecution.

After all, what can be worse than covering up pedophilia? The majoirty of JWs just don't believe any of it!

BUT, the information is still invaluable as it does affect growth and stops people joining the cult when they are vulnerable as they are already clued up to what the WTBTS really is in the first place.

That's a good point Gill. The watchtower have never acknowledged that this database exists, but if it dosen't why are they fighting so hard to protect it? Perhaps if the media were informed as to how hard the wts are fighting to protect information that they don't admit to having, it might bring them the sort of bad publicity they hate. It might not get anyone to leave, but it could discourage plenty from joining.

i think that the true scope of the watchtowers wealth could be exposed more. all members here is how much their congregation needs donations, how the assembly accounts are read and need donations etc.. and they probably think the watchtower struggles with cash flow. i had no idea till i started reading online how wealthy of a corporation it is, and i'm sure many current members are just as in the dark as i was.

it is nearly impossible to find out how much the watchtower is worth globally. the only financial reports i've seen on the watchtower were a canadian report and an australian report. i was shocked at the small amounts actually used for charity , the australian report was just over 1,000 dollars . out of MILLIONS of dollars donated.
