Well in that case there's 2 things it could be, but most likely it's not your computer at all, but someone's been fiddling with the buttons on the monitor and moved "the screen" across. Unfortunately how you correct this varies from monitor to monitor and may take a bit of trial and error.

    I would try this first.

I've tried clicking and dragging and won't work.

Buttons on monitor are: MENU DOWN UP AUTO POWER

Any suggestions for using any of these?

WAC - have Internet Explorer and yes to your other part of question.

WAC - how do I check screen resolutions??

Is your monitor an LCD (flat panel) or a CRT (like a TV with a picture tube) ?

What's the brand and model of your monitor? We may be able to find information about the menu if you give us that.

Failing that, we can experiment. If you push the menu button on your monitor, you will see a menu pop up on the screen. There will be a way to move to different settings in the menu, and a way to adjust each individual setting. The settings you want to try will be called something like H.POS or H.SIZE, or Horizontal Position/Horizontal Size. Adjusting these should allow you to squeeze your screen back down to the appropriate size.
