Bearing Witness thru a Vital 'Leaflet Campaigne".....

    Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. 43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone putting faith in him gets forgiveness of sins through his name." Acts 10 NWT

    How could anyone seriously believe that when Peter stated the above words, he had anything remotely like the impressive work of distributing a 4 page color tract to all corners of the earth? And that said tract would contain only minimal reference at all to Jesus, describing him only as "a widely respected religious figure"?

    Jesus is mentioned only twice after that, naming him as the author of two scriptures.

    On the other hand - the name of the religion doing this 'vital leaflet work' is mentioned three times on the back page, giving a man made religion higher billing than Jesus.

    When I was in the bOrg, I would never have noticed this hypocricy, as I am sure most witnesses don't. But I notice it now - and it is glaring in it's disrespect to the one whome they claim to honor.

    Jehovah's Witnesses honor themselves and don't care anything about Jesus. If they did they would love people instead of condemn them.

    When you think about it - this Jw campaign cannot fail;

    If the territory comes 'alive' with response, and people just 'stream into Jehovah's organization' [yea right!], they will announce that Jah's spirit is motivating it.

    If the territory barely notices, ignores the tract, or uses it to line the birdcage, [most likely response], they will liken it to the 'days of Noah', saying that the people are just 'eating and drinking' and ignoring God's warning, showing how similar we are today to the days of Noah, and 'proving' that the end is very close indeed.

    Delusion runs deep, doesn't it?

    The Watchtower's corporate logo gets more honor and attention than Jesus does.

    LOL , yah instead of bearing witness to jesus they bear witness to a corporation , instead of the good news of the kingdom it's the good news of paradise earth under the direction of a corporation .unbelievable how lame they really are after being examined under scrutiny.

    The JWs I have had contact with aren't expecting people to stream in on the basis of this leaflet campaign; just the contrary, they think it is a final warning work just before the destruction of the wicked (all non-JWs) begins. It's a way for the rank and file to cover their rear end making sure they survive and receive everlasting life (not necessarily the official WTS spin though).

    Same with JWs that I know. Of course, when the end doesn't come it will leave more dubs disillusioned.

    I do remember at least one other KN Campaign in my run w/ the witnesses. Someone said 1996 I think. But wasn't there one sometime between 1990 and 1994. Those were the years I was technically active in field service. It's amazing to me now that I can see so clearly now the truths behind all the WT'a actions. It's such an obvious attempt to keep the people they have in their ranks, scare the ones who've drifted off back, and if they get a few more converts then that's even better. It seems like they had another KN tract they were all hyped up about within the last 6 years as well. It may not have been the same title but I'm sure it was meant to hype the same hysteria.

    The wts probably can't lose with this campaign. It isn't going to bring streams of people into the organisation, and the end isn't coming anyway, but I would imagine it might get a few more out in the fs more than they have been going, and they will be able to boast about an increase in active jw figures.

    Maybe some will lose heart. But the Watchtower is making a nice play here. (Not that it's the fist time) By getting the "final warning work" mental ball rolling around in their heads, there's no expectation of numbers going up. So when they DON'T go up and membership flattens out (or rather, stays flat), they'll buy that it's a sign of the end. "They've been warned, and they didn't listen. Some have even fallen away. Thank Jah *I'll* survive the end!"

    Thank "Jah" I bailed before *my* end!!! :-)

    (And as SeattleNiceGuy might say, "Thank Jah I'm an atheist!") :-P
