Sorry if this has already been asked before. I was just curious, because I think it would be really cool to have a former "big wig" JW post here.
Are there any former COs or DOs here?

OK, I'll assume from the deafening silence that the answer is no. Anyone know of COs or DOs who left the borg?

Since I started attending meetings about 1955, I know of three CO's who have left the "truth." I thought it was four but heard recently that one is attending again spasmodically. One ran off with another woman. Another was gay. I have no idea if any of them could be on this board. In fact, it's been so many years that two of them left, I don't even know for sure if they are alive.

Read all Maximus' posts. It will be a real education about the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation.

My husband did a job once when he was still in. He met some man who lived a recluse life in a small town. My husband asked him why he chose to live in this small town with nothing to do. The man said, "I'm trying to get away from Jehovah's Witnesses!"
My husband was flabberghasted since he WAS a JW. So my husband asked him, "Why would you want to do that?" He said, "Because I was a District Overseer and left."
My husband said he hurried up and got out of there before the "demons got him." Now we wish he would have stayed and found out more scoop. We can't even remember the guy's name.
I wish he would post here. That would be interesting. If you're here and you're lurking ...

My sister's Hubby was just appointed as a CO, they left a couple months ago to go to their new circuit.
They are both very aware of their current status.. kinda makes me ill.

I know of one C.O., who I corresponded with be email a couple of times. His name is Dan Dykstra. He is on the board of directors of the Bible Research and Commentary International. This is an organization that is run entirely by ex-jws. I believe there is one other former C.O. on this board as well. You can read about them and read articles they have written on BRCI's website. It is a very interesting website.
I should have mentioned that Dan Dykstra is not a poster on this forum. I only mentioned his name as the only ex-jw that I know who used to be a C.O.

I think the fellow who wrote "Year of Doom, 1975" (later named "The Inside Story of Jehovah's Witnesses") ....W. C. Stevenson was a CO in England.
The titles and the information are from memory so...verify it before using it.
