There has been almost no sucess in law suits for being disfellowshipped, and the new wording makes it virtually impossible to win. I went to a lawyer about this that had done a theis on JW's. There is nothing incorrect when saying "xxx is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses" so it can not be classed as defamation. Added to that is the courts reluctance to get involved in matters of a religious nature.
