I think it was AlanF that came up with this:"God chose the Isrealites,as his people.The WBT$ chose the Jehovah`s Witness`s,as Gods people".....Did the WBT$ clear this with God?..Does God do as he`s told,by the WBT$?..Would God have a job,without the WBT$?..Is God a Wienie?..Or..Is the WBT$ very presumptuous about their position,as spokesman for God?...OUTLAW

Actually it was Judge Rutherford, the second president of the society who coined the name based on Isaiah 43:10, and no he didn't clear it with God. And yes, it was presumptuous for Rutherford to do this and leave it as a legacy for the society. But I believe God is much bigger than any religion on this earth who claims Him as their own.

When I first joined JWD, a poster known as mindchild made a very profound statement to the effect that:

If God selected the Jehovah's Witnesses to be his earthly representatives, it shows beyond a doubt that God is seriously f*cked up.

You just can't argue with that.

Actually, what he said was closer to this: If God chose Jehovah's Witnesses to represent him, then God is one dumb piece of sh!t.

The Watchtower organization (Rutherfored) confiscated all the bible verses that applied to natural Isreal - spiritualized them and then applied them to themselves. And NO they did not clear it with God first. Lilly
