1-The strong fanatic dubs would start a new Borgish sect. 2-The suffering dubs would have a sigh of relief, free from elder tyanny. 3-the weak ones would just join the mormons or some similar cult or follow #1. And the world would go on just fine without the almighty WBTS........just like we have.... and all the con-men running the Borg now should be in the hoosegow on obstruction of justice charges on account of having that database without reporting confessed pedophiles to the police.........rocky220

It would be a beautiful thing. It'll never happen.

Although Jehovah's Witnesses are organized; the organization is merely an "umbrella" under which millions of individuals with the same ideology gather. Even if every single Watchtower corporate entity somehow ceased to exist; there would be no shortage of JW individuals who would start up new entities to organize all of the people who still hold the JW ideology.
An analogy: If the Republican National Committee ceased to exist in the U.S.; there would still be millions of individuals who are committed to the conservative political cause. These dedicated individuals would pool labor and resources to start up another organization dedicated to promote the conservative agenda.
No matter what kind of legal blows the WTS may face; there will always be some kind of organization which is committed to the JW ideology; even if the corporate entities are completely different from what they are today.

I used to like to think that it would happen, but it's not going to. They have too much money for a start, but also there are too many people who need it. Those who don't will fade away, but the hard-core cultists are going to hang in there until they die.
