Could someone please tell me how many different versions of the Kingdom Melodies are out there? I'm only aware of the Piano recordings and the Orchestra crap. What other arrangements (box sets) has the WTS released?

I want to collect them and make some fun remixes.

There are some Midi's out there that some of the "brothers" made on their own to put online. I know there was a recording forever ago with some people from Africa singing, you can dl that on limewire or any other p2p source.

I remember we were talking about Mash Ups with Kingdom Melodies where I made a pretty good one with Song 23 and Kanye West's "Gold Digga" (the edited version unfortunately) but the Midi and the Piano that I found made it like IMPOSSIBLE to add a good beat to it without having to change it every 2 measures, it's ridiculous. I don't know if the songs are supposed to change time or that the musician's playing the kingdom melodies can't hold a rhythm.... BAH!

Yeah, the KM Orchestra can't keep a beat worth a damn. The one I was previously working on, I had to chop the hell out of the KM to get it in sync, but it worked pretty good. Too bad I accidently deleted it.

I have a few that I've downloaded, but I'd like more of the common ones like "From House To House", "We're Jehovah's Witnesses" and all those other irritating ones. The fun part was speeding the song up 3 times faster to go with the beat. Makes the singers sound like chipmunks :)

I used to have some tape of crazy sounding German children or whatevers singing kingdom melodies in german or something... :) Vague enough for ya? If I find it, I'll look this thread up and send it to ya. It would make one hell of a mix!

On a side note, anyone out there realize while driving, shopping, washing your hair.... anyway, you ever realize you're humming a kingdom melody? How odd!.....

German sung Kingdom Melodies? Weird. Does it sound as evil as that German version of Barbie Girl?

The only recent KM memory jog I've had lately was that goddam song "Laud Our God". I can't believe I remember so much of that song!

I always liked "Make the Troof Your Own" with that really high note that nobody in the Kingdom Hall could hit.

Bah, damn that high note. My congregation was widely known throughout the state as singing INCREDIBLY loudly. The CO would always comment about it, then we'd go to seldom worked territory and all of our people would be practically screaming the song in comparison. It was crazy. Does just the idea of forcing singing of songs seem strange to anyone else, I mean really I thought singing and playing of music was something done personally to worship.

I'd love to hear your stuff though, We'll have to switch our stuff soon.

One thing we always wondered; if the WTS orchestra had all these top-notch players from the New York Symphony, etc. then why did it always sound so bad?

Oh god! Nos. you just inspired my husband to dig out those d*mned KM tapes and he's now torturing me with them.

Well I went rummaging through old cassettes and discovered that I have 4 tapes of the early Kingdom Melodies 1, 2, 4, & 5

I have no idea what shape they are in and I don't have a cassette player to find out. But I'm willing to send them to you if you want

Sounds good, Lee! I could care less what shape they're in. At the rate I have to speed them up, you won't be able to hear any dropouts :)
