I had to take late movies back tonight and they were so late the store had called and told me they were charging me for them. So I called them back and asked if it was too late because I did not want to buy these movies. Well, The store manager said no, just bring them in. So her manager under her decides to tell me that is not acceptable and that I have to buy these movies. They really sucked.
So I ask how much and she states 15 dollars each. Well I know they were selling them for 5 dollars each when I purchased them. So I tell her I am not paying 15 for this crappy movie. Nor am I paying when her boss said I did not have to. The lady gets really mad and tells me that she personally really liked the movie and that lots of people really liked it. (WTF) So I think I had a moment I forgot that in real life there has to be a buffer between what is in my head and what comes out of my mouth more than when I am on the NET. I replied to her that a lot of people voted for Bush and we all see the wisdom in that. And she gave me this look that blew my mind so I followed up with a comment on the throngs that also followed Hitler. Realizing I was loosing my mind, I sucked it up and said that I was sorry that I likened her crappy taste in movies to following Hitler while I was not so sure about Bush. (Passive agressive and manic at the same time) I swear I just picked up my movies and left. I don't think I could have fixed the situation given my lack of 'tact' tools at the moment.
Now I am a bit sad, and yet LMAO at my stupidity in comparing 'V for Vendetta' to George Bush. No comparison now, and I see that. But WTF? I think I need Midol.
Whew... what a moment.
