You have got to be kidding. Whenever the WT wants to pull an example out of their ass, they reach for Joshua and Caleb. 2 of the 12 "Chieftains" or "Elders" hand picked by Moses to spy out the land, therefore appointed to this "privilege" by Holy Spirit.

10 of those 12 were spineless, faithless cowards as are most JW Elders who will not speak up when they see faithless and cowardly (actually wolfley) things in their congregations and bethels.

Anyone who shows or tries to show the faith and courage of Joshua and Caleb will be kicked off of elder bodies and likely find themselves excommunicated (or "no longer identified as one of Jehovah's Witnesses") as well. That is why most JW elder bodies are a stalemate of "do nothing" (but DF) bureaucrats bent on self preservation.

Why even the instruction to bodies of elders is for any possible "Joshuas and Calebs" to "go along with the elder majority" even if it is a valid principle being defended. This shows a "waiting attitude on Jehovah".

Makes you wanna puke!

It implies that there is something wrong with you if you are no longer so motivated to "preach the good news" . You are a coward ! In fact the whole concept of "spritual sickness" is the same. If you develop doubts, if you can see flaws in the teachings, then there is something wrong with you, not the teaching ! You must be in the wrong ,you are a sick man or woman.

It is cold here; saw flakes on Thursday but it didn’t stay. The US Thanksgiving is coming up soon only 19 days. I know Canada has Thanksgiving on October 1. What about where you live? Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, hashbrown/cheese casserole, green bean casserole, squash, raspberry jello dessert, pumpkin and lemon meringue pie at my house.

I could say the same: It is cold here AT MY KINGDOM HALL!

By the way, sounds you have the REAL spiritual food there on your Thanksgiving menu.....way better than the crappy article! You are my hero! Hi and thanks for another good review of what looks like very painfully boring material to go over.

How the R & F can sit there and engage their brain at all is beyond me, perhaps thats the idea, just send them into that same trance like state they mentioned and then the dubs will take it all in without question, getting all their subliminal messages from the WTS. I think all you lurkers stand a much better chance of thinking for yourself when you dont pre study, that way you only hear it once and you're more likely to see how manipulative it is.

Thanks for an idea, I'm cooking for only 12 this year. It's my favorite Holiday. You gave me a great idea for hashbrown cheese cassarole, didn't think about that !
