I seem to remember a very nervy elder with an overblown sense of entitlement who made an announcement that he didn't like the homemade food that was being prepared for the pioneers. (From what I heard it was delicious food prepared by very capable sisters I knew and I would have been glad to eat it.) I thought to myself WTF??? I would have told him where to go and how to get there.
I also didn't approve of his asking for $$$ to feed the pioneers (as if I owed them something!) I only gave once, but never again!

I would think it would SOMEONE ELSE in the congregation who would ask this on BEHALF of the brother if the elders felt it was needed. This guy has some balls.
