Thanks guys!! I went and had a little nap. Maybe this was for the best!! It was a totally boring job. Something a monkey could do!! I need to get my ducks in a row and get back to nursing. I've been so burned out from it, and all the BS that goes with it!!

Glad you're feeling better. I've heard nurses who are pharm reps say it is so easy. You just dress up in cute suits and slingback shoes, bring free food, and talk about the new medicine from some company. It may actually be fun!
So sorry, Shelly. Is it a permanent layoff, or might you be called back after the holidays? Can you afford a couple weeks rest, then look around?

There are lots of jobs in nursing available. You just have to put up with a lot of stress and poor working conditions. The pay has improved because of the shortage though.

For nursing - Hospital out by me uses ALOT of temp nurses. Real good pay and housing is covered. The weather is nice here, too .

What did you do for 3M? I heard they shut down one of their facilities. Casting Tape and Splinting Material (for fracture management) was affected just a few months ago.
