Looking for 1908 editions of Studies in the Scriptures

I would like to compare the 1908 and 1916 editions of Studies in the Scriptures, particularly Thy Kingdom Come. I can find electronic versions of the 1916 edition on line, but am having trouble with earlier editions. Does anyone know of any sites that host them?

Are you looking for when the change in the Great Pyramid numbers was made?

That particular change was made in the 1905 edition of Thy Kingdom Come and I believe no further changes were made (at least for the pyramid numbers) in editions after that one.

Here is something Morton Edgar wrote concerning the changing of the numbers.

"You may have noted that, in his early editions of Vol. III of 'Studies in the Scriptures," in the Pyramid chapter, Brother Russell states that the length of the Descending Passage, from the junction of the Ascending Passage down to the Subterranean Chamber, is 3416 inches. But in all later editions of his third volume, since 1905, the length of this passage has been altered to the extent of 41 inches, the length now being said to be 3457 inches. Formerly the north wall of the Subterranean Chamber was said to mark the date 1874 A.D., but with the new measure of 3457 inches this date was shifted forward 41 years to 1915 A.D. No explanation is given for this change."

You know looking at these old books again On Page 347 in the Enemies Book I only just realized AGAIN ( I guess I must have known it when I first was coming out) That they printed "Thus for loving obedience to Jehovah Christ Jesus !!!! I have the whole set of Studies in the scriptures & the Copies of them also

Ha! Ha! On the next pages 349,,,It says If a man desires to be taught & led in the right way & trusts in the LORD & follows the LORDS instructions,he is certain to receive blessings of the LORD .If He follows the teachings of some religious organization ,all of which teachings are based upon traditions that man is certain to fall into the ditch ,It is the case of the blind leading the blind & The devil gets the whole crowd...

Actually any edition will do. What I am trying to find is any differences about what was said in regards to 1914. I would like to see how definite the statements are that the end and Armageddon was going to come in 1914, and if they changed it to more vague statements in the 1916 edition.

It was reading the 1916 editions that sent this ship off course a couple of years ago, who knows where I will end up after reading the older light of the 1908 edition.

My already shaky faith was definitely destroyed after reading some of the Old Light.

For example:

"The Finished Mystery" was published in 1917. This book would have been the "spiritual food" that Jesus would have found the Society serving to His people during His "ALLEGED INSPECTION."
* Demons will invade the minds of churchgoers in 1918, leading to their destruction. (p.128)
* Nathum 2:3-6 describes a railway train. (p.93)
* The "valiant men" of Nathum 2:3 are an engineer and a fireman. (p.93)
* "The chariots rage in the streets, they jostle one another" of Natham 2:4 are the clanking and the bumping of railway cars. (p.93)
*"Leviathan" of Job 41:2-19 is a locomotive. (p.85)
* "Also, in the year 1918, when God destroys the churches wholesale and the church members by millions...." (p.485)
* "Behemoth" of Job 40:15-24 is a stationary steam engine. (p.84)
* "Even the republics will disappear in the fall of 1920....Every kingdom of Earth will pass away, be swallowed up in anarchy." (p.258)
* The "voice from heaven" of Revelation 18:4 is the voice of The Watchtower Society. (p.276)
* The glory of the angel of Revelation 18:1 refers to modern discoveries such as correspondence schools, celluloid, Divine Plan of the Ages [a Watchtower publication], talking machines, vacuum cleaners, induction motors, pasteurization, Panama Canal, shoe sewing machines, subways, skyscrapers, Roentgen rays. (p.273)
* Michael the Archangel is the pope of Rome. (p.188)
* The Lord's Second Advent had taken place in 1874. (p. 54)
* The Watchtower Society's elite "anointed" group of its members would all be taken from Earth up to heaven in the spring of 1918. (p.64)
* Revelation 14:20 predicted the precise distance from the place where the Societ's book, "The Finished Mystery' [1917], was produced in Stranton, Penn., to its shipping destination in Bethel (the Society's headquarters) in New York City (p. 230)
* The Lord assums responsability for "The Finished Mystery" book (p. 295)

All of the ridiculous nonsense presented, not only as truth-- but 'the Lord's truth'--in "The Finished Mystery" proved to me that the WTBT$ was just as full of manure back then as they are today.
