If they included the number of DAed and inactive in those stats, the outcome would be a bit different.
What percentage of those disfellowshipped get reinstated?

I think that is the key to Brown's statement, it is not a lie, but none the less misleading.
The 60000 disfellowshipped does not include the (my guess) 20000 dissassociated. So if 30000 were reinstated out of 80000 d/f plus d/a then you only 37.5% reinstated, which is a more realistic number.

The dubs are masters at this.

Good Girl or Bad Girl?
I'd be interested to know how many people who were disfellowshipped once end up getting disfellowshipped again. It always seemed like everyone I ever knew who was disfellowshipped and reinstated, ended up getting DF'd again.
I wonder if it is because they are basically marked after that.
Or if they, due to the mistreatment and flat-out abuse, come to their senses and leave...

One is too many, I was re instated once and thought things would change for me but I experienced a change in my friends like I was marked or something. being disfellowshipped was the worst and eventually the best thing that ever happened to me. who knows, I might still be doing time, narrow minded and blind to the real "truth".
I'm now faded, like a good pair of old jeans.

I agree, John/Backed Away, welcome to JWD, by the way. This is how I feel too.
