I like the universalist impulse in the story of Jonah.
The story of King David. It's the King Arthur story, but about 2500 years earlier (approx).
Interesting. Jonah's a good one too. I like David's stories. Saul is tragic and doesn't get a fair hearing.
I prefer Cinderella, Snow While, and Alice in Wonderland, personally!!

I'm with Crazyblondedeb on this, I prefer the better - written fairy tales. At least everyone acknowledges they are fiction.
Yes agree with the story of Joseph. Rise to fame, Potiphar's wife episode, dream interpretation, integrity of central character. Good stuff. For some reason I'm always fascinated by the Shadrac, Meshach and Abednigo story as well as Legion's episode with Jesus.
The story of strong Sampson used to be my favorite story, but today i think he is no different to suicide-bombers.
