Second school "in the back." Is this the JW version of the short bus?

As the School Overseer back in the days, I did tend to assign sisters to the second school who were afraid of talks in the front school in front of the entire congregation. If a sister was absent from the front school (like virtually every week) it was very difficult to get the short bus people to come up front and do their talk, some would just say "No, I can't do it."

The second school's purpose is so that people don't go more than 3 months or so without having a talk. This is part of the mind-control cult's continued reinforcement sessions. If you don't research, rehearse, give talks often, you might slow down in studying and reading the literature and you might enjoy NOT giving talks.

We always had a second schoo; while I was in, and it was to ensure that people didn't go too long without a talk. A students' first couple of talks were slways in the second school, after which they were given talks in either first or second. No one ever saw it as discriminatory.

So why did or do you go if you think that poorly of that particular congregation?

LOL! When you are sent "where the need is great" you don't really have a choice do you? Even the BOE (PO and his SIL are well aware of the problems) in my former congo almost wished me luck on my post. It's so bad that they've been through FOUR CO's in the last two years. It's really FUBAR, but thanks to a myriad of things like this I am on the way out. Other factors (family) involved as well or I would have already said Bye..

Ah, the dreaded second school! Indeed, in our hall, the second school was the JW version of the short bus. In another sense it was the JW version of the "GONG SHOW".....

They would typically assign "brothers" or "sisters" with poor english skills, extremely nervous or the just plain weird and creepy ones to this school, which was tucked away in the

basement and always 10 degrees colder than the rest of the hall!

I used to ALWAYS go down to the second school when they would separate the upstairs and downstairs schools simply because it gave me chance to walk downstairs and break the

mind-numbing monotony of the "upper" chamber. Public speaking at its worse! LOL....
