  The Code of Silence—and the Watchtower Society

  In his book Crisis of Conscience, Ray Franz gives the public an in-
  siders view and perspective of the governing body and the Watch-
  tower Society. It gives the reader the distinct impression that the
  governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses knows exactly
  what they are doing.

  What about the "underlings" in the Watchtower Society

  Often times, I thought to myself, what about individuals who were not
  considered one of the "higher" ups in the Watchtower Society. True,
  Ray shows in his book that the Bethelites would describe marking
  off time in Bethel like if it were prison time; one and four, three
  and one, so on and so forth, but do they know more than
  what they are telling?

  Your thoughts on the matter

  1. Did you ever know of anyone who knew exactly what was going
     on inside the Watchtower; be it the Society in Brooklyn or Watch-
     Tower farms?

  2. Did you see, hear, or experience anything in your life as a Witness
     to give you the impression that there was a cover up on a much
     grander scale?

  I've never known anyone who knew exactly what was going on anywhere let alone at the watchtower. In my perception, I see the jw's living in an alternate reality of their own with the blind leading the blind. As far as your number 2 question did I ever hear or experience anything in my life to give me the impression of a cover up on a grand scale. Yes I have. David Icke, refers in his writings of the grand scale cover up that he feels the witnesses are a part of . If you are interested, I would recomend you start reading with Children of the Matrix. I think Ickes works should touch a nerve with the Jw/s as He takes somewhat of a secular stance or view of the world being controlled by demons that inhabit the bodies of the world leaders, presidents, entertainers religious leaders and past presidents of the watchtower society.

  I was at brklyn bethel from 93-96, looking back I can see that there were some who were not as happy at bethel as they should be. I am talking about the middle heavies the bro's who had been there 20-25 years. It was interesting to talk to some about the great apostasy of 1980. My table head was around back then and he made the statement that it came down to who's side you were on. I believe some chose the safe side of the organization when they really wanted to join there freinds.
  
  
  Looking back with the info I have now I can see the nuances that was going on. back then I was bright eyed and looking to see what would happen com the turn of the century.

  I always thought there was a code of silence. I remember some years back when a couple left Bethel and I attempted to question one of them about whether they liked it there, etc. I got the distinct impression they were withholding negative information from me. I figured they didn't want to "stumble" me. I knew from past experience in my congregation that somebody who is a "pioneer" will not reveal something negative to somebody unless that person is also a "pioneer". So, there are layers of secrecy and politics in this pathetic religion.
  
  Then a couple of years ago I learned that Bethelites have their rooms searched periodically. Presumably, they are looking for "contraband" whether porno, or "apostate" literature (whatever).
  
  This would be enough to make me leave.
