Today a pedophile got more than 10 years behind bars.

I'll Let SilentLambs elaborate on the proceedings when he's ready. I just wanted to say how much I appreciated meeting with everyone in Ritzville today. Many testified in behalf of the victim today at the sentencing hearing of one Emmanuel Beliz, including the victim, friends and family, including SilentLambs. This gigantic piece of shit got hammered with a stiff sentence, but not nearly WHAT HE DESERVED. Of course, this piece of F**uck is appealing the verdict.

I met with some people familiar to this forum today, and it was a great experience. Special thanks go to the couple that are accommodating the victim and her dear friend tonight. They took us out to dinner and we shared stories from our JW past. I feel like I've known all these people I just met today all my life. I love you guys!

How kind of you to go and show your support of Erika! I wish I could have been there. I am happy the shit got jail time but no matter how much time one get's for the sexual misconduct with children is NEVER enough. It takes away so much from a child and leaves so many scars.

I forgot to mention that NOT ONE PERSON stood up to say anything for the defendant. There were typed words of support for the defendant that the judge read before the hearing, but nobody had enough spine to speak publicly for the p.o.f.(piece of f**uck) Must not really believe in him.

SilentLambs has expended an enormous amount of his own time and expenses to help with this case. He's a hero, people. I bow down and say; "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!"

I'm glad to hear that this monster was brought to at least a semblance of justice. I'm sure that she felt strengthened by the love and support that she received from everyone involved.

I'm glad to know things went well. I know this is no way makes up for the pain you've encountered, but a small piece of justice can help your healing. There are MANY here that are proud of you. You are still in my prayers and thoughts!

I am sorry I couldn't be there this time; but my heart goes out to those of you who made it.

This is a part of life the WT doesn't want their people to see...JW, ex-jw and the community working togeher to save and rebuild lives. My visit to Ritzville for the trial changed my life forever--I will never be the same person I was before. At least, I hope not...

Thanks for the update.
I agree he deserves more than around ten years!
He's now had TWO trials.He's drrug this out very painfully for Erica and consider the waste of time and money of Tax payers.
I am disgusted to hear he is wanting to apeal and have a THIRD trial!!

I've been checking periodically today to find out how the case went. Unfortunately with my husband's recent heart surgery I've been out of touch with things. It was only when I had some time on Sunday and went to Kent's site that I learned Bill had asked for our support so that Erica could be there and have an opportunity to make her victim's statement.

I was thinking and praying about the outcome several times yesterday, hoping that Brother Beliz (will he be DF'd NOW?????!!!!) would not get "a slap on the wrist." I'm so glad that he got 10 years. It's not enough, of course, LIFE wouldn't be enough.

Thank you, TR, for going to support Erica, and thanks to the anonymous others, too. The people here really ARE special, aren't they?
