Trying to catch a sale at the store today and ran into this kid I used to know at the hall. He of course ask what hall I go to now. Normally I just give my old hal and let the convo move on, today I wasn't feeling that. So with out missing a beat I tell him I dont go to the hall any more. He ask why and I tell him when you see certain things taking place in the organization and they dont add up you have to question why and do research. Then I said how my research showed me that they were wrong. I made the example of how when he goes d2d he tells the householder if their religion isn't following the bible they need to make changes, I made the necesary change.

he asked how my decision was working for me I said its the best choice I have ever made. He then goes on to this spiel about how the world can corrupt your thoughts and tells me how he was dating this sister and he was starting to waver from the admonition found at Matt 5:27,28 (looking at a woman you can sin in your heart.) I am thinking if you are dating this girl that is the natural progression of things. I have always (since I have been set free) maintained that being a witness emasculates you as a man. This cat was feeling guilty about having sexual feelings for a girl he is considering marrying.

This was my first time truly revealing my stance in public. I have hinted at it to some and when with my fellow sith (you guy's) discussed it, but it was rather satisfying to say what I truly believe and not care about who know's.

It's a shame the way they make a person feel guilty for feeling something so natural as lust for your partner.

Congradulations are in order for "outing" yourself in a way. Good observation on the dating thing. I would have felt like something was wrong if I didn't have sexual feelings toward someone I was dating.

I wish I were able to reach out to other JW's with my convictions, but I am trying to salvage my own life right now. That's why I come to JWD, only place I am comfortable with openness for now. I am inspired by your courage.

I just realized that as of monday, I will have been on this board a year. I have come from being scared to type in jehovah on a search engine, to telling someone what the deal is...alright.

FYI the young man I was talking with his family was always on the DC doing the daily text on friday. His brother who is my age also claims to be of the anointed...at least the last time I saw him 4 yrs ago.

The most important thing you said is that leaving was the best thing you ever did. To a JW mind that just will never make sense, and possibly bother him for a long time. In his mind you are supposed to be having the wost life ever right now, but why are you now happy with really bother him.

All the real men at the KH get the boot for speaking their own mind.The pruning away of the thinkers has had the desired affect. The KH is populated by mindless wimps now.

i agree with the rest of the poster's JW's do emmasculate males and females if you want to get down in it. They taint and misunderstand natural processes generally...
