  Howdy English,

  I think Larc's idea is great - quietly talk with him. No cure - but at least it's communication.

  I think one of the most ironic side points to this is: You, being df'd, could report him to the other elders. They wouldn't have to listen to your firsthand witness account against a brother because you're not a brother in good standing. Less than a worldly person. In fact, you would be speaking against a WTBTS appointed "glorious one."

  I ran into that when my daughter was df'd. She had firsthand information about a sister meeting with the committee - but they wouldn't accept it because my daughter was df'd. The sister lied her way through it completely, is still in good standing.

  Always playing both sides of the table.

  G'day my English friend,

  Glad you've been able to bring us up to "speed" with news on the dub in the pub. It's a sad and sorry episode right now but let's hope for better things!

  It is indeed interesting that we all can choose to associate with whomever we wish. Even if we choose to follow the apostle Paul's admonition, there's no record of him advocating a judicial committee to 'deal' with your friend. How much better to approach this matter in the way that's been suggested in this thread. Sounds more Christian too, doesn't it?
