good story too
I heard it was good.. but haven't seen it yet
I thought it was very good. Definitely breathes new life into the franchise. A re-start of the whole Bond story was a wise move, rather than figure out how to make the post-Cold War Bond still relevant.
I thought it was pretty good also. More violent then the rest of them. I was disappointed with the beginning song. Sorry but Chris Cornell makes a horrible 'James Bond' movie singer. And where were all the nekkid girls?
VERY good movie. I'm a James Bond movie fan, but this was a good story with a character that probably got closer to Ian Fleming's original character than the other Bonds. It wasn't just another episode of the franchise.
I liked Daniel Craig in "Munich," though I probably noted him more because I knew he'd been chosen to be the next James Bond. He's a very good actor. Did you know that, at 5'11" he's the shortest Bond to date? All the others were over 6 feet tall. Just a bit of trivia there! However, he's certainly the most buff . . . and had plenty of opportunity to show it off!

I only saw part of the video of this on some news show. I thought that was Chris Cornell. I really liked what I heard a lot. I recall when Paul McCartney did the theme for Live and Let Die. At first I didn't care for it, but it grew on me.
I haven't seen the movie. I saw the tongue in cheek 1960's mod version with my parents when it was new. They used to take us to see the Bond movies as they came out. The original movie is very funny. I would love to see this more serious version. And from the clips I've seen, I think this guy might be one of the best Bonds.

No nekkid girls... BOO! Worst Bond film ever!
I saw this on opening weekend and thought it was one of the best, if not the best, of the Bond films made. The problem I had with all of the other films was "reality." I know, I know, we're talking about JB here, but c'mon, you know what I am talking about. Casino Royale finally hit the reality mark. Even the chase scene at the beginning was pretty believable.(although I think some sprained ankles would have likely happened in real life) And the other thing I liked about it -- they didn't play the corny card throughout the movie, at all. They turned it into a serious film.
Here's to hoping that the Bond genre has now changed to drama/action from quirky-comedy/action.
I admit to feeling jealous when Daniel Craig sucked Eva Green's fingers in the shower. That was so romantic. There was some real passion in this movie and gave Bond a depth of character that none of the previous ones managed apart from a couple of the Brosnan ones. I miss Pierce but I think Daniel and I are going to be a lot happier than Timothy Dalton and I ever were!
YUM YUM!
A lot of people have come to me and said, its nowhere near as good as the others but for some reason i really think he is the best bond we've seen in a long long time, a refreshing difference to pierce brosnan and even previous bonds.
There was a lot less cheesy jokes, stupid gadgets and more action from a trained killer. Surely, a lot nearer the truth when it comes to Agents working for the British Government.
Out of 10, i give it a 10. Definitely a good watch!
