Emergency !!!! Can Any One Help?

This plea for help goes out to anyone in the ST Louis Mo area.
Okay this is the situation, my father and sister are both disfellowshipped and have been sharing an apt. Since my mom and dad have been separated.
My dad was being kind to my sister who was in need after her divorce.
She was the typical Jw just, high school education then depending on a man. Dad agreed to let her live rent free till Jan when she graduates from dental school. She also has a job makes around 200.00 a week and between school and truck payment not enough left for rent.
Dad just jerked the rug out from under her with no offer of help!
The WTC thing scared him so he’s going back to mom and the organization. She has to be out by this Friday. She’s homeless. I don’t even live in the same state or she could stay with me till she graduates.
She needs a situation where she can clean and do laundry for her keep for a while. Male or female, it doesn’t matter.
I always try to let her solve her own problems but this was not her fault.
I just thought I’d throw this out there and see what happens.

Hi Ranchette,

Is it possible that she transfer her studies to your state? If so, she could move in with you. I have heard this is possible. Try checking into it. Just in case you can't find any other solution.

Thanks for the input.This has come up so suddenly with virtually no notice!I'll have her check on a transfer.
Between this and the awful letter I got from mom today, I'm feeling like we have pretty shitty parents!!
We've never been able to trust or depend on them.
I know my sister is not their responsibility but I expect them to follow through on promises.

Ranchette, my father lives in a suburb of St. Louis. Kirkwood. Let me talk to him and see if he needs anyone. He's an ex-Marine and has his condo cleaned every week. I don't know who he has doing it now, but I can ask. He hates jws and might be glad to help your sister out. He is really a sweet guy. Lives alone. I'll give it a try.

I know she'd probably rather live with someone her age, but if you want, I can try.

I was just reading your mom's letter and saw this. I'm so sorry. Is it possible that she can talk to someone at student aid at her dental college about emergency student housing? It's worth the call to find out. If I was in her area,she'd be welcome to my sofa bed here. Please let us know how this turns out! hugs,T

Everyone,
I just spoke to her on the phone.She said that a girl she works with and her husband have offered to let her stay with them.They have a small place with a couple of very small children.She'll have to study somewhere else.
It's not an ideal situation but" beggers can't be choosers." I just don't want her out on the street.
I hope they don't back out.
