I realise my life is different than most.I live in the wilderness,in the mountains, where most people will never set foot..Right now the temperature is 1-F,a few more hours and it will be below zero-F..The snow is over a foot deep and will be deeper by morning..I just cooked a nice steak on the BBQ,out on the patio..I cook there, breakfast, lunch and dinner, regardless of weather or season..My BBQ runs on propane..I love propane or natural gas. When I went to Chef`s School,I was taught on propane..What is your favorite way to cook food?...OUTLAW

Wow sounds great where you live Outlaw. I've visited Canada twice before but only Toronto. One of my ambitions is to get out in the Canadian wildeness for a spell. Did you ever see the old movie The Trap with Oliver Reed? That's always stayed in my mind for some reason.
I love cooking, barbecues definately but on charcoal or wood. My favourite is fish though. I love barbecued fresh sardines, pilchards and bass. I also love cooking fish stew and pies. Cooking in the wilderness sounds brilliant.
Take care,
Chris

I love to cook, and this question sparks my intrigue.
I know this, I love to eat food that has been fried in one way or another. Particularly deep fried. So, I am thinking I would love to cook with a deep fryer, it is on my wish list. You know all those things in the store that seem impossible to make at home...like donuts, that's what I want to make.
I like to make really complicated baked things.
I'd really like to have a commercial kitchen for domestic use.
I cannot IMAGINE doing what you doing and cooking all the time on a grill!! I mean, I like to cook, but get too hungry and have to use the microwave alot too. Or just eat cereal.
Its darn cold where you are Outlaw....is it snowy too? -

Microwave? Not neccesarily my favorite but the most expediant. I would agree with you, I enjoy food cooked on a propane grill outside.

OUTLAW, you're supposed to pet the lions, not cook them on a propane grill! Next you are going to tell me you had cereal with blueberries in it.
I love my propane grill...
Taste the meat, not the heat.

I'm with clam, wood or charcoal.
I love grilling and BBQ, this comes natural being from Texas.
jeffro, not everyone in the states is a fried food addict, If I do eat fried food I like to make it myself since if done right and in the right quantities it is not bad for you.
My favorite I think is jerk pork, just made some last week.

I thought we were crazy people - now I know we're not alone! hee hee
We cook out all the time on our propane grill. Through out the winter also. Nothing like a grilled steak our hamburger in the winter. Also make shish kebobs w/various meats and veggies. Takes a little longer 'cause of the cold.
And squirrel on a spit w/a little crab apple in his mouth is delectable!
Now you got me hungry!
