Has the Watchtower changed its mind or did I miss something?

    Gill:

I am with you on this one. HOW, do they communicate??? And to WHOM??? And WHEN did they communicate??? Can anybody answer these simple questions. In the bible it is documented when and where Jehovah spoke to somebody. Why should we expect less now?

I would also like to shake the hand of any brother who has had the privilege of these divine communications!

Well Watchtower! Would you care to enlighten us as to how you communicate with the 24 elders?

    Enquiring minds want to know!

I suspect the "new light" will be this: Governing body members could be members of the "great crowd" rather than "anointed". If the "faithful & discreet slave" can communicate from beyond the dead, you don't really need any living on the earth, do you?

I'm not so sure of this. If memory serves, the WTS already stated in the Revelation book that the 24 Elders (i.e. the resurrected members of the 144 000) communicate with the "John Class" (i.e. anointed Christians still on Earth) -- emphatically NOT with members of the "Other Sheep". Or was that teaching among the seventy changes to be made in the Revelation book?

This could be leading to something even more important. It was long stressed that the important years were 1918 and 1919. Here they have dropped the emphasis on 1918 being the start of the resurrection. This seems to be a way of taking focus of a year so far back in the past that they are tending to appear irrelevant.

Is the WTS trying to bring their chronology into the 21st century to make it seem relevant?

Hey I guess I am too stupid to understand. Can anyone tell me in one sentence what was previous light and what light is this?

Another question: Is it true that Freddy Franz had this special room at Bethel HQ where he repaired for daily "prayer"? I seem to remember someone telling me, years ago, that there was this area of Bethel that was inaccesable to everyone else except FF. Evidently he would spend hours therin communing with goodness knows who. The rumour mill had it that Knorr only spoke to Franz and Franz spoke only to god!!

Maybe that is where and how the elders communed with Freddy. Maybe that roon had special wave-length facilities piped directly into "heaven"

    Cheers
