Siva from Gish - Smashing Pumpkins
This song was playing on my roomy's jambox when I entered our room in the dorm. Life ended as a 1/2-Jehoobie-believing, country boy. The Rock & Roll lifestyle began; the jehoobie died.

This time of year, every year, the radio features the all time top 1000. lot´s of memories old and new and thoughts pass by about the time those songs were originally played on the radio.
Well, ask me next year and I´ll probably choose another song. But, right now I would settle for Spanish Train - Chris de Burgh.
In some resort God and the devil are now playing chess
the devil wins more souls and
God....
well...
he´s doing his best.

I don't have one favorite song, certain songs seem to stay with me for a time. If you would have asked this at the beginning of the year I would have said "Silent All These Years" by Tori Amos.
Right now the song that really resonates with me is "Pilgrim" by Enya. Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
"Pilgrim"
Pilgrim, how you journey
On the road you chose
To find out why the winds die
And where the stories go.
All days come from one day
That much you must know,
You cannot change what's over
But only where you go.
One way leads to diamonds,
One way leads to gold,
Another leads you only
To everything you're told.
In your heart you wonder
Which of these is true;
The road that leads to nowhere,
The road that leads to you.
Will you find the answer
In all you say and do?
Will you find the answer
In you?
Each heart is a pilgrim,
Each one wants to know
The reason why the winds die
And where the stories go.
Pilgrim, in your journey
You may travel far,
For pilgrim it's a long way
To find out who you are...
Pilgrim, it's a long way
To find out who you are...
Pilgrim, it's a long way
To find out who you are...
"Lord can you hear me..." Spiritualized.
Blows me away every time......
Since this is going to be my first Christmas since starting the fade, I'll choose my favorite Chrismas song.
"O Holy Night"
(but I can't pick just one song in the whole wide world)

I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will take me for myself,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I won’t need nobody else, no, no, no.
I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me do my best,
And if I find my hard headed woman
I know the rest of my life will be blessed -- yes, yes, yes.
I know a lot of fancy dancers,
People who can glide you on a floor,
They move so smooth but have no answers.
When you ask why’d you come here for?
I don’t know why?
I know many fine feathered friends
But their friendliness depends on how you do.
They know many sure fired ways
To find out the one who pays
And how you do.
I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me feel so good,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I know my life will be as it should -- yes, yes, yes.
I’m looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me do my best,
And if I find my hard headed woman..
"Boys of Summer" Don Henley
