Small town here....the resident atheist makes sure everything stays secular...some of the local residents put on quiet the display...we usually take at least one drive around town before Christmas...

I hear the Phoenix Zoo is all decorated. I will check it out. ... In Georgia, Callaway Gardens near Columbus has a beautiful drive thru display. It is several miles long. You need reservations and can either drive yourself or ride in an open air trolley. It is really worth the effort if you are in the area. ... In Houston there is an old neighborhood just North of downtown (I forgot the name) that is really fun. It is full of the old original houses that are all decorated. Some homeowners have hot cider and cocoa for the visitors. Some have some entertainment on their porches (singers). Visitors park and walk up and down the streets. Very warming experience.
