Does Jehovah listen to worldly prayers?

When you was a JW, did you think Jehovah ever listened to the prayers of the worldly? Aside from those "experiences" of people praying for the true religion only to have a couple out in service knock on their door seconds later, did you believe Jehovah listen to other non-JW prayers?

I never believed that jehovah answered the prayers of anyone but jws, except for thse who were interested in finding the true path, and he would invariably guide a jw to their door.

You talk to any other religious person and they will tell you that god is answering their prayers.

Born again feel God or Jesus is constantly answering their prayers and they don't feel the JW's are having their prayers answered.

the conclusion of the matter is everyone feels they got the monopoly on God.

The fact that people were praying to god and then the JW's show up, it's nothing but coincedence, i've heard the samething with those of other faiths having similar experience.

don't forget the amount of hours spent by dubs knocking on doors, they're bound to find someone praying to God.

    Coincidence or urban myth...

I've often wondered if the, "I was praying and the JWs knocked on my door" was just an urban myth. Has anybody ever met somebody who had that happen?

Listen? -does God listen to anybody's prayers?- The verdict is not in yet, but the Jury has not been impressed either.

There was a Watchtower on prayer in the 80's that made me change my mind about prayer by worldly people. Remember when they said that the prayers of Cornelius had ascended as a "rememberance" before Jehovah? In other words, Jehovah listened to his prayers because he had done such good deeds to christians. That's when I first thought, "Holy crap, everything revolves around how JW's are treated, not what they need from God." Then I compared that with what I knew about Jehovah's personality and thought, "This is crap."

So, I beleived that Jehovah heard any prayer said by anyone who prayed. Psalms says that to "You Oh hearer of prayer, people of all nations will come." That sinched it for me. I wasn't popuiar for that view, but of course I didnt advertise it either. Who the hell did we think we were any way?

Yes in my JW mind it was logical that he should. Anyone who takes the trouble to communicate with who they believe is their creator must surely be worthy of at least a listening ear? Shouldn't they?

It would be nonsensical for Jehovah to be saying " Sorry sunshine, you'll have to be a Jehovah's Witness before I can listen to you --LALALAL LALALA not listening"

To the Dubs though, Jehovah can be what they want him to be. After all, he's a figment of their imagination.

Does anyone know the official stance on the subject? For today of course. I see a few different opinions going on here, where was the famous jw unity?

Sure He does, he just ignores them all. Of course it's the same with all others too unless it has something to do with his name, then he just comes down and kills a bunch of stupid humans.
