CBD,
I read a number of cases from the Miscellaneous Category.
Criminals and Swindlers!
This site is a keeper.

Thanks for this CBD, alot of interesting stuff on here. It just shows how litigation - consciuos thes guys are if they see a chance of making a bit of cash. I really enjoyed reading about the cases they lost, served the greedy bas***ds right.
I was set back by the amount of lawsuits this site covers. Quite interesting.
BTTT
Ve..errrry intesting I read some of the cases.Particular Police/milatary
since the WTS has investments in these, maybe the Lawyers should use
this avenue to get them at their own game.
This is fascinating reading! We had an elder at my last Post Office, who demanded to be accomodated for meeting nights and ass-emblies. He would wait till the week of summer convention was already taken, then demand the time off anyway. It really hurt the business when he did this. Sometimes, when we called mandatory overtime, he'd refuse to pitch in because it was meeting night. The other mail carriers really resented him when he pulled this.
He claimed the company had to accomodate him or he could sue, and it appears from reading the cases that he was right.
What an awesome site. JW's have no problem suing when it suits them. Also they can be a real pain to employeers especially in retail stores during the holidays. I worked one place when I was a JW and there was 6 of us sisters. Well when Christmas rolled around none of us wanted to decorate the counters so we were all threatened with dismissal if we refused. Well the Elders told us we could do it so long as we made it clear we did not celebrate the holidays. LOL Frankly I would never higher a JW and would encourage anyone not hire them they are pain in the butt.
Since I'm not out I realize what a pain it was to my employers to make allowances for my screwed up religion. Hope the site lasts.
Nice:
[65] I have, however, also noted Mr Patton's concerns that due regard was not heeded by the Department for his role within the Church. I have had particular regard to the extent to which Mr Patton explained to Mr Byrne that his knowledge of Ms D's complaint was derived through his involvement with the Church. In this context I do not consider that Mr Patton's role within the Church can be relied upon as a legitimate reason for his behaviour. If Mr Patton has confused his role as a Departmental employee with that of an Elder within the Church, such confusion cannot be relied upon to legitimise clearly inappropriate behaviours.
