would be the only way to keep my interest in this series

like I said before, this is precisely why the poms ...oh, and the Scots too!... don't do great things in the sporting world, you just give up when the going gets tough!

Come on, we play fair downunder and always cheer on the underdog!

    Hi Ozziepost.

The reason Australians do ok at sport is because you haven't got anything else to do - we are so busy making money in the financial capital of Europe, so busy getting involved with all the cultural activities taking place in our country ( culture is art, music, theatre etc, in case you Ozzies didn't know), so busy leading the world in the music industry (oh sorry you have got Jason donovan), so busy being one of the worlds leaders in the fashion industry, so busy on the g-nome project, so busy in science in general etc etc etc... and we still had time to beat you at cricket and rugby in 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, you have never declared independence from us so technically even if you win, the ashes are still ours!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What we need is another Bodyline series. That will sort out those bloody convicts. If that penal colony is so brilliant, why do I see so many Aussies over in England?

    hmmm..interesting

i'm not a giver upper...while there is still a chance of a result

what was so enthralling about the last series was that it was undecided during the whole of the summer up till about the last 1 1/2 hours..(i still think ozzys should have really absolutely gone for it rain hail or solar eclipse - what did they have to lose)..to me that is how sport should be

it was the same with the rugby world cup..last minute decider..and the previous final between oz and eng was only decided by one score..

so much more exciting than walkovers..

so if oz win this test and regain the ashes i am not so interested in staying up all night and 'supporting' the team..

Whats the difference between Australia and a yogurt?

If you leave it long enough it gets a culture

Not looking good - or looking very good if you are an aussie. Shane Warne now 696 test wickets. 700 of course would be a first in History and an absolute magic moment

Seems to me some of the English get quite insulting when they are loosing. Is that a national trait?

Doesn't seem very sportman's like, or very "cultured".

    The Maldives is very cultured.

    Huh?

    Ever heard of Federation?

BTW "technically" Britain has never declared independence from Rome or the Normans, so I guess that you're really Italian or maybe, (shock, horror!) French!!

Don't forget, you still haven't got a constitution.
