Today, I went to put the trash outside and I opened my garbage can, I can tell that someone has been going thru my trash, I did not like it. It is not the first time. It has been going on several times in the past few weeks. I am trying to think of a solution that will scare off someone that has been going thru my trash. Any ideas?
Someone went through my trash again and again!

It's very hard to say because I don't know what kind of place you live in. Are you destroying your personal info in case it is someone looking for info? If you are in an inner city, is if just some poor sod looking for food?

Yes ditto Ballistic. Why would someone do that? Are they maybe looking for food or do you think they're attempting ID theft? Or could it be a private detective? Need more info. . . .

Jaguarbass, I just moved here in the Country in September. I have never thought about racoons. Are they strong enough to move the trash cans?

Yep, i live in the country and Racoons are always digging in my trash ifin i don't put the lids on tight.

Coons don't usually put the lid back on when they are done, at least not the ones I've known, maybe mine were less sophisticated than yours
Could be the identity theft thing.. make sure you shred anything with personal info on it. and doggy do on top is good for human or critter invasion.. do you have a dog? can you borrow one for a few days? Mines a crapping machine, I'll send you some if ya like Wouldn't UPS love that!!
