I drive a lot and I'm sketchy with compact cars. I want a strong vehicle but I don't want to have to "climb" into one. I love the comfort of the Town Car and I know of someone that just got the new 07 Lincoln (not TC) and LOVES it.
the company I work for have 2 Audi A8 L , 1 mercedes 500s, 1 Viano 2 Lexus 430, but you cant beat a Lada, Fso, Proton, and the Daewoo.
I like Lexus too. Most American vehicles develop problems after the first year.
Wonderful! A car thread again at last.
First - to sspo - Ha on the topolino! I have actually owned two of those beautiful little Fiat 850 spyders. A lot of fun, if a little low on power!
My latest story is this: I am ready for a new (different, I mean) collector car. Not that I am really tired of my 1995 ZR1 Corvette, I just wanted to experience a Ferrari once while I can still drive stickshift. So, I have been negotiating for a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa. It failed my PPI (low compression on cylinders 11 and 12), but the owner graciously took the engine down and is doing a top overhaul and covering the expense. It should be back together in late January or February.
Now, I will be the first to admit that this big red monster is in no way practical. If you want a little sports car that is practical, I vote Miata MX5. If you want a medium sports car that is practical, I vote Porsche 911. If you want a big sports car that is practical, I vote the Corvette Z06. I have all three of these currently as daily drivers and they are all just as reliable as any pickup truck, honest.
As part of the experience, I joined a local Ferrari club to get some input on these cars. We got together for a "Toys for Tots" rallye Dec. 8th, and it was run safely and responsibly - ending up at the Denton, Tx fire department to deliver a big pile of toys and I think about 1500 cash for the kids.
Another great experience totally denied to you-know-what religious cult!
James.
VROOOOOM.
I know of someone that just got the new 07 Lincoln
Is it the MKZ? Nice car...the Town Car is on the way out I think.
So you like boats?
Here ya go:
To M.J. - in the immortal words of Steve McGarrett, Hawii Five 0...
Book-em, Danno.
1968 Dodge Charger 440 /RT . Sucks on gas but oh so much fun
Here's my dream car:
Jaguar XK.
Sigh, I would stay away from Ford, Chevy and Kia. I'm also looking to replace my car a very tired Nissan but it's served me well for the past 11 years so I just might by Nissan again, I'm going to test drive a lot of cars this time before committing to that monthly car payment that's for sure.
Sorry to break it to ya, but going with Jaguar is not exactly staying away from Ford. (Jaguar is a Ford division)
Ditto for Volvo, Land Rover, and Aston Martin.
I'll take an Aston Martin Vanquish S, BTW.
